PMHNP, 17 years of experience
I am a compassionate and client-centered mental health provider dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and achieve emotional well-being. I specialize in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and medication management to support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Insomnia, and stress. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. Together, we’ll explore what’s bringing you in, discuss any initial concerns, and start developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Most importantly, this session is about building trust and creating a space where you feel safe and heard.
My greatest strengths lie in creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported. I bring a practical, evidence-based approach—particularly through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—to help clients gain insight, develop coping strategies, and make meaningful changes. Clients often appreciate my ability to balance empathy with structure, helping them feel both supported and empowered as they work toward their goals.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated to better understand themselves and take active steps toward personal growth. My ideal clients may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or life transitions, and are seeking practical tools and insight to improve their emotional well-being. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to create lasting change, I work best with those who are open to collaboration and committed to the therapeutic process
My Experience with CBT and Its Integration in My Practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-established, evidence-based psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors, and replacing them with healthier, more adaptive ones. My training and experience with CBT have given me a strong foundation in understanding the interplay between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD. Throughout my clinical education and practicum, I have had the opportunity to apply CBT principles in real-world settings. I’ve worked with clients to collaboratively identify cognitive distortions, develop coping strategies, and set measurable goals. I have also guided clients through structured CBT interventions such as thought records, behavioral activation, exposure hierarchies, and problem-solving techniques. In my practice, I will continue to use CBT as a core component of treatment. I value its structured, goal-oriented approach, which empowers clients to become active participants in their own healing. I plan to tailor CBT interventions to each client’s unique needs and cultural context, and when appropriate, integrate CBT with other modalities such as mindfulness-based techniques or trauma-informed care. By using CBT, I aim to help clients build insight, resilience, and sustainable skills that improve emotional regulation, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and support overall well-being.
