HI. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida. I received my Master's Degree from Adelphi University in New York and have been practicing as a therapist in Central Florida for close to 8 years. My passion is to help clients to overcome their mental health and/or personal barriers and promote feelings of empowerment and accomplishment. It is my goal to guide the client on their journey to overcoming their challenges and to achieve desired change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with introductions. I will learn what the specific challenges are. I hope to begin rapport building during this process. My ultimate goal is to treat symptoms, however along the way I prioritize establishing and fostering a positive/professional therapeutic relationship for each unique client. I strive to create a safe space for clients with a completely open-minded and impartial approach.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I partner with the client to heal and restore functionality, such as recognizing past and current triggers and exploring the most effective strategies to rise above it. My approach is direct yet gentle. In sessions, clients will see a therapist who is strength-based and who encourages clients to accept their flaws without shame and guilt . Strengths are celebrated and all feelings are important and acknowledged

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I have worked extensively with families who have experienced trauma and other stressful events. I partner with the child and family to heal and restore functionality while connecting past events to present triggers.

Compassion Focused

I have treated clients who have been victims of varying types of childhood abuse, including abandonment and neglect. I focus on building self-esteem and decreasing feelings of shame and guilt.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this treatment method often when working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression and grief. I have utilized CBT with clients of all ages by effectively showing the link between feelings, thoughts and behavior. Once understood, effective coping skills can be used and practiced on a daily basis. Clients often see a significant change in their lives and are better able to manage.
