Welcome, I know how scary starting therapy can be. I commend you on taking this first step. I believe it is important to heal the hurts that may continue to affect you. As a therapist, I am invested in your story and will walk with you through your healing journey, so you can live a happier more fulfilled life. My therapy style focuses on you as a whole person. I use empathetic and reflective listening to support self-awareness and acceptance. I focus on providing a safe place where you can tell your story without judgment. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I provide individual psychotherapy for adults in all stages of their lives. I received my education from University of Valley Forge located in Phoenixville Pennsylvania where I achieved a BA in Counseling. I continued my education at Medaille College located in Buffalo, NY where I achieved an MA in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in behavioral health, non-profit community-based agencies, school based settings, crisis settings and in private practice.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use several evidence-based approaches with person centered and humanistic therapy being at the foundation. I will encourage you to take control of your sessions in order to foster and develop your own sense of empowerment. I will offer guidance and support throughout the process. I will also help you to develop coping skills that build upon your strengths.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a particular interest in working with survivors of trauma, including witnessing or experiencing violence, abuse, abandonment, rejection, spiritual abuse and complicated grief. I am passionate about continuing education and research in the areas of trauma and PTSD. If you are thinking about therapy or have any questions, I invite you to reach out. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and help you get started on your healing journey.
