Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Arizona. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work at Arizona State University and have been providing therapy for 8-years. I have been in the field of social work for over a decade. I have worked with many different populations with various diagnosis. In working with these differences, I have become drawn to a career of working with adolescents coping with the pressures of growing up and finding themselves, adults dealing with life stresses or trauma, or couples navigating relationship challenges or looking to strengthen their relationship.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Working with different populations over the last decade has taught me to be transparent and to find the root cause with issues you are having. It has also taught me to focus on finding the right diagnosis and create the right plan to help you move forward.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have been utilizing ACT for 5-years now to assist client's in accepting their emotions and committing to allowing those emotions. I also utilize ACT to help client's reduce and overcome fear. ACT assists client's in identifying values and recognizing when they are or are not embracing those values. ACT has been great in reducing anxiety.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing CBT, for almost a decade, with various populations. I have used CBT in group (substance abuse), individual, and couples counseling. CBT allows me to help client's change negative thought process by increasing mindfulness and challenging thoughts. CBT has taught clients how learned behaviors have become automatic thoughts. CBT is great for a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, etc.

Couples Counseling

I have been providing couples counseling for over 7-years utilizing the Gottman Method. This method focuses on how to communicate effectively while finding ways to improve connection. Couples counseling is not only for "broken" relationships, but for those looking to strengthen and improve their relationship. I have worked with couples who are dealing with infidelity, as well.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been utilizing DBT for nearly 10-years. DBT assists client's in understanding how to regulate emotions and tolerate distress in a healthy matter. DBT focuses on how to accept reality and how to communicate.

EMDR

I have been utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desenstization and Reprocessing) for about two years and is used for trauma and occasionally anxiety or OCD.
