*Intake forms MUST be completed before your session. Please review my full profile prior to booking.* Hi! My name is Brittany Mitchell, and I’m so proud of you for taking this first step toward improving your overall wellness. I support individuals experiencing mild to moderate symptoms and approach each session with compassion, kindness, and care. My goal is to walk alongside you on your journey and help you grow into the best version of yourself. I have over 10 years of experience in working with children and adolescents in various settings and 3 years with young adults. I work through a person centered and trauma informed lens. I incorporate Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and/or expressive art therapy depending on the client's needs/desires.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be focused on introductions, discussing symptoms, evaluating whether or not I am the best match for your needs, and creating a plan for your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My strengths are skill building and empowering folks to be their best selves. If you're willing to put in the work, we will push together to get you back to your normal level of functioning.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Children , adolescents , and young adults (18-30ish) who are experiencing symptoms related to anxiety , depression, self-esteem, and/or adjustment. I DO NOT specialize in PTSD, self-harming, or personality disorders.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help children and adults identify unhelpful thoughts and shift them toward more positive, realistic patterns. Together, we explore how thoughts influence feelings and behavior, challenge negative thinking, and build healthier coping skills. My goal is to empower clients to understand their inner dialogue and create more balanced, supportive ways of thinking.
