Welcome! My name is Caroline and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California and Illinois. I know that choosing to seek therapy is hard, but I am glad you are here. I have been working in the mental health field for over 6 years. I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic illness, grief & loss, life transitions, peer/interpersonal relationship issues, and stress management. My goal is to not only support you but empower you to build upon your inherit strengths as you navigate life's challenges. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal for the first session is to focus in on you, the whole-person and what is bringing you to therapy. I aim to create a safe and compassionate space in order to get know you, what challenges you are facing and the impact they have on your overall well-being. This will help me to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions specific to your personal goals. We will then begin to develop coping skills and other effective strategies to help you manage the challenges you are facing. If you are feeling alone or lost as you navigate life's challenges, please know that we will work together on getting you the support and relief from emotional pain that is needed. I integrate evidence-based practices within my work, ultimately meeting you where you are at and honoring your individual needs. The challenges you are facing are likely trickling into other aspects of your life, but we will work through them together. I will walk alongside you as you navigate life's greatest challenges and provide compassion and support to you every step of the way.

I am a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist. My biggest strength is that I am deeply committed to helping you find the positive within your daily life. I will help you to process complex obstacles relating to your specific challenges while helping you to develop healthy coping skills in order to improve your mood and your quality of life. We will work together to get you back to living a life filled with peace and meaningful connection.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT in my practice for the past five years which has helped my clients to challenge intrusive and reoccurring thoughts in order to manage their anxiety. We will use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other during our sessions. We will use this knowledge to adjust your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Grief Therapy

I have vast experience with grief and loss and utilize grief therapy when dealing with varying types of loss. The grieving journey is unique to every individual and is a key component of the healing journey. I will help you with the adjustment to life after loss and help you gain peace and meaningful connection back into your daily life.

Humanistic

I implement humanistic therapy within therapy sessions as a means to help you develop a strong sense of self, reflect on how you are feeling in your personal interactions, gain meaningful connection within your daily life, and assist you in focusing on your strengths. My goal is to help you leave each session feeling proud of yourself.

Strength-Based

I strive to promote personal empowerment for all of my clients in order to live a life of true authenticity. By utilizing strength-based therapy, we will explore what your goals are and work together to focus in on your inherit strengths that give you power and meaning to reach your full potential.
