Gloria is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. She is a Trauma Certified, National Certified Counselor and board-certified member of the National Board of Certified Counselors. Gloria earned her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Prior to becoming a counselor, she was an Emergency Management Specialist for FEMA assisting individuals impacted by natural disasters. Gloria believes the client is the expert in their situation and works with the client to assist them in reaching their maximal potential. She also realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, support systems, work or school environment, and faith/spirituality in this process. Gloria’s therapeutic approach is diverse, eclectic, and curtailed to the individual not a “one size fits all”.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believes in making a profound impact on the lives of individuals by giving them hope. I aim to explore all possible ways in which I can make a positive change. First and foremost my biggest strength is I provide a listening ear...not every situation requires the need for immediate advice, suggestions and resolution. I provide empathy, understanding, support, encouragement and compassion for each client. I work to provide adults, children, couples, and families with tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives.
