Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage Family therapist based in California. I received my Masters from Hope International University. I have been practicing for over 15 years. I have extensive experience in working with adults, couples, children, and families who have suffered a traumatic event, dealing with anxiety and or depression, relationship issues, stress, mood issues, or any other areas/issues that disrupt your daily life. If you are at a point where you, or someone you know, may benefit from having a non-biased, nonjudgmental therapist with fresh views and guidance, feel free to contact me. I believe treatment should be a collaboration that includes your values, the latest research, and my long-term experience in the field. I am committed to helping you make lasting changes in your lives

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions. I prefer to let the client to discuss the specific challenges they are facing and lead the sessions. I allow them to verbalize what they are feeling and begin to work on building rapport. This will helps me earn the client's trust and give me an idea of what kind of guidance and assistance I can be in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My 15 plus experienced has given me the tools for helping the client be even more passionate in helping and identify the root cause of the challenges. I don't give up and am very involved with the plan and the goals that we create together in session.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This method targets clients' default solution patterns, evaluates them for efficacy, and modifies or replaces them with problem-solving approaches that work. It creates a solution versus problem focus, I work with the client in creating measurable changeable goals and staying focused on the future through future-oriented questions and discussions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I aims to help clients deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. I teach them on how to change these negative patterns to improve the way they feel. We work on analyzing their thoughts, feelings and behaviors to work out if they're unrealistic or unhelpful and to determine the effect they have on each other and on the client.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I uses exposure principles and cognitive-restructuring techniques that are specific to the traumatic experience. With increasing exposure to trauma reminders while encouraging the client to use skills learned in previous sessions in order to master the fear, anxiety or other negative emotions upon exposure to these trauma memories
