(she/her)
Hi, I’m Alejandra. I’m glad you’re here. Seeking support can feel vulnerable, and I believe it is also a meaningful step toward healing and growth. I provide a warm, safe, and judgment-free space where you can share what is on your mind, better understand yourself, and work toward the changes you want. Together, we can build coping tools, explore patterns, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and for you to share what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, personal history, goals, and what support would feel most helpful. You do not need to have everything figured out before you arrive. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together moving forward.
I bring a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. I meet clients where they are and work alongside them to create realistic goals that feel meaningful and achievable. I balance compassion with practical tools, helping clients better understand their experiences, build on their strengths, and take manageable steps toward lasting change.
Other specialties
I identify as
EMDR
EMDR is one tool I use within a broader trauma-informed framework. Depending on your needs, I may also incorporate cognitive-behavioral strategies, self-compassion work, parts work, grounding skills, and other techniques to help you feel supported and make meaningful progress toward your goals.
Humanistic
In humanistic therapy, I prioritize creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. Through active listening and empathetic understanding, I encourage clients to tap into their inner wisdom and potential for self-actualization. Together, we work collaboratively to foster personal growth, self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of oneself and others.
Trauma Informed Care
In practicing trauma-informed care, I prioritize creating a safe and validating environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences without fear of judgment. I integrate techniques such as mindfulness, grounding exercises, and narrative therapy to help clients explore and process their trauma at their own pace. Through collaboration and empathy, I strive to support clients in building resilience and developing coping strategies to navigate their healing journey.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve been using CBT and it’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
