I provide a safe and calm space for your voice to be heard. I will help you towards a journey of healing and finding joy and peace. I utilize several different tools that are all unique and individualized for you in order to tackle stressors and anxiety to live a more peaceful day to day life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After sessions, you can expect to take away a better understanding of yourself, how to be kinder to yourself, and deeper understanding of where your anxiety and stressors in life are really coming from in order to work and tackle them in a healthier way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am highly experienced with anxiety, trauma, high stress, family & relationship issues, and life changes. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy. EMDR is a psychotherapy that allows people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that from trauma or disturbing life experiences. EMDR therapy allows the brain to activate natural healing process through alternating eye movements, sounds, or taps. I utilize EMDR therapy with individuals with trauma, high stress, depression, anxiety, and various other stressors in their lives and I have personally witnessed an incredible amount of relief and success.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and other distressing life experiences. EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. Healing with EMDR happens through our brain. Our brains have a natural way of recovering from traumatic memories and events. This process involves communication between the amygdala (the alarm signal for stressful events), the hippocampus (where safety and danger memories are created and stored), and the prefrontal cortex (which controls behavior and emotion).

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps patients learn to identify, question, and change how their thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs affect their emotional and behavioral reactions. CBT reduces emotional problems by teaching patients to identify distortions in their thoughts and work on their thinking by looking at situations from different viewpoints.
