New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I am a neurodiversity-affirming and an identity-based therapist. I specialize in supporting clients with ADHD and autism, and I also have an ADHD diagnosis myself, which helps me approach our work with deeper insight and empathy. I have nearly 25 years of experience helping individuals and families manage a range of challenges. My background includes supporting children, teens, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma, along with significant experience working in the educational system. I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Supportive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution‑Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and other evidence‑based modalities to support each client’s unique needs. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where individuals can develop effective coping strategies and move toward personal growth. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my daughter, and making memories with my family at the beach. These moments of connection and relaxation remind me of the importance of balance, and I bring this perspective into my therapeutic practice, encouraging my clients to prioritize their well-being and personal sense of self.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
An initial therapy session is designed to be a mutual “getting to know you” process. I will spend time asking thoughtful questions to better understand who you are, the path you’ve walked to get here, and what feels most important to you now. We will also discuss what brings you to therapy, what you envision for your goals, and what you hope to gain from our work together. Throughout this first session, you are encouraged to ask questions and get a sense of my style and approach. My intention is for you to leave feeling respected, understood, and empowered with the information you need to decide whether I am the right therapist for you moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a neurodiversity-affirming, identity-based therapist, I strive to create a safe and validating space where clients feel understood rather than pathologized. I work in a collaborative and client-centered manner, partnering with clients in goal setting and treatment rather than positioning myself as the sole expert. I truly feel that you are the expert in your lived experiences, and that we are a team, working together to help you to achieve your treatment goals. In this process, I will balance empathy and a focus on your strengths, while also appropriately helping you to examine unhelpful thought patterns without feeling judged or dismissed. Through thoughtful questioning and perspective-shifting, and sometimes even sharing some of my own lived experiences where appropriate, I will work to support you in viewing situations more flexibly, increasing insight, emotional regulation, and forward movement.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
As a neurodiversity-affirming, identity-based therapist who is also diagnosed with ADHD, I am especially passionate about working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD and autism. With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, I also bring extensive experience supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and family-related stressors. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and strengths-based, grounded in validating your lived experiences while helping you work toward meaningful, self-defined goals. I believe every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and understood without judgment. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. As you therapist, I feel my role is to walk alongside you, offering insight, encouragement, and practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.
Supportive
I utilize supportive therapy to provide a consistent, validating therapeutic environment that helps clients stabilize, reduce distress, and strengthen existing coping skills. Through attunement, normalization, and strengths-based interventions, I support clients in navigating current stressors while enhancing emotional regulation and day-to-day functioning.
