I have lived in Chicago for the past 10 years and have been a therapist and social worker during that time. I got my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. For hobbies, I love playing soccer, reading, speaking Spanish, and gardening. My therapeutic orientation is born out of my desire to answer life's big questions and love of philosophy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I'll start by asking you some basic questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of it, and a bit about your background. We will also talk about what you want to work on. This might involve discussing specific issues you're struggling with or broader goals you have for personal growth. And we will also talk about expectations and how each session will look. In addition, I will try to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable opening up.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths is my intuition. I am good at taking a lot of different information and combining it into a coherent narrative that applies to your life and helps you develop more insight into your problems. I am also very good at listening and knowing what questions to ask to help you move through your problems and see them in a different light.

Existential

Think of existential therapy like having a deep conversation with a wise friend who's into philosophy. Instead of just talking about surface-level stuff, you dive into the big questions about life, like why we're here, what it all means, and how we deal with things like freedom, social connection, authenticity, meaning/purpose, and death.
