About me

Hello! I'm Candace. Thank you for allowing me to join your wellness journey. I received my Master's from Columbia University School of Social Work and have been practicing for 6 years. I specialize in helping young adults and adults navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. In addition to traditional therapeutic techniques, I integrate faith-based principles with those that find it helpful. My goal is to provide you with the support and tools you need to heal and thrive!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, we’ll chat and get to know each other! Paint a picture for me, of your world. I want to know what is working and what is not working; and how it's impacting you. We will talk about your goals, I'll gather some background info and together, we will begin to come up with a plan to address your concerns.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am passionate about empowering you to be your best self and committed to your healing! My style is down-to-earth, insightful, and engaging. Both laughter AND tears are celebrated during our sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with young adults and adults. I understand the unique challenges and transitions that come with these life stages. Whether you’re dealing with the pressures of starting a career, managing relationships, or navigating personal growth- I am here to support you and work towards meaningful change in your life!

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

As a Christian counselor, integrating faith-based principles with traditional counseling methods can be a powerful approach to addressing your emotional and spiritual needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This treatment focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It involves identifying unhelpful thoughts and beliefs (the ones that keep you stuck), challenging them, and replacing them with more helpful thoughts, that improve your overall quality of life!

Trauma Informed Care

Emotional wounds take time and patience to heal. This framework involves understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma. It emphasizes creating a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and recovery.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy is about supporting you through one of life's tough experiences and the complex emotions and changes that come with different kinds of loss, whether it's losing a loved one, a relationship, or a significant life change. My goal is to help you find your way through the pain, remember what’s important, and build a future that honors your past and looks forward to new possibilities.
