LCSW-C, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals with a wide range of needs, including Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mood Disorders, Self-Esteem challenges, School Refusal, and other complex concerns. I am especially passionate about working with neurodiverse individuals and take a strengths-based approach that empowers them to recognize their unique abilities while learning strategies to navigate challenges. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel understood and valued. In addition to my work with neurodiverse clients, I am committed to helping individuals and families manage stress, build coping skills, and improve overall well-being. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and tailored to meet each client’s unique goals. My treatment modalities include solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I strive to equip clients not only with tools for today but also with long-term strategies that foster growth, resilience, and confidence.
In our first session, you can expect us to spend time getting to know one another and building a comfortable space where you or your child can feel safe and supported. We’ll start by talking about what led you to seek therapy at this time, as well as any challenges or concerns that are most important to you right now. If you or your child have had previous experiences with therapy, we’ll explore what was helpful and what wasn’t, so that we can shape our work together in a way that best meets your needs. We’ll also take time to discuss your goals and hopes for therapy—whether that’s learning new coping strategies, improving communication, managing emotions, or simply having a supportive place to process life’s challenges. This first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share any preferences you may have, and begin setting the foundation for a collaborative partnership. My goal is for you to leave the session with a better sense of what therapy will look like, and to feel reassured that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
I offer a personalized and creative approach to therapy that goes beyond a “one-size-fits-all” model. I recognize that every individual has unique strengths, interests, and ways of expressing themselves, so I tailor each session to meet clients where they are. Whether through conversation, skill-building, problem-solving, or incorporating creative techniques, my goal is to make therapy engaging, meaningful, and relevant to your life. By creating a space that feels both supportive and interactive, I help clients become active participants in their own growth and healing. This process not only encourages investment in mental well-being but also allows individuals to uncover their innate potential, build confidence, and develop strategies they can carry forward long after therapy ends.
I believe growth happens when clients are gently challenged to reflect on their experiences and take ownership of their journey. I use humor, empathy, and creativity to make the therapeutic process approachable and engaging, especially for clients who may feel hesitant about therapy. I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals and those managing stress, anxiety, depression, or self-esteem challenges. My approach balances warmth and accountability, helping clients build resilience, discover their strengths, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
I explore recent experiences that caused the client to feel distressed. Together, we explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and help the client reframe their thoughts into something more balanced.
I work with the client to build self-regulation skills. I encourage the client to try new strategies outside of sessions and check in at the next session to see if the strategy was helpful. If not, we continue to work together to create the best toolkit for regulation.
I work with the client to set goals that build on their strengths, rather than focusing only on their challenges.
I check in with the client to ensure that they feel safe and respected. I also outline the expectations for the session and remind the client that they are in control of what they want to share. Additionally, I'm mindful of potential triggers and I pace the session to avoid overwhelming the client.
