LCSW, 17 years of experience
New to Grow
Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming but you don't have to navigate this alone. Hi i am I’m Trudy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Florida, Indiana, and Virginia. With 17 years of experience supporting clients through mental health and substance use challenges, I’m passionate about helping people find clarity, build resilience, and make meaningful change in their lives. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and rooted in collaboration. I believe in meeting you where you are and helping you recognize the inner strength that’s already within you. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and eclectic techniques to meet your unique needs. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, or personal growth, you don’t have to do it alone — together, we’ll take steps toward healing and empowerment.
In our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you and understand what brought you to therapy at this point in your life. I’ll share more about my approach so you can see if it feels like a good fit, and we’ll discuss your goals and the challenges you want to address. My goal is for you to leave that first meeting feeling heard, supported, and with a sense of direction.
Clients often describe me as a warm and attentive listener. I provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore your experiences openly. I offer feedback, gentle validation, and guidance to help you make meaningful progress. I’m passionate about empowering clients to believe in themselves and to embrace their ability to grow and heal.
I work best with clients who are ready to explore themselves and take the first step toward change—even if it feels a little scary. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are new to therapy or who have felt unheard or misunderstood in the past. I strive to create an environment where every client feels respected, supported, and truly seen.
I along with the client work on challenging and reframing unhelpful thoughts with more constructive ones.
I use this is almost every session to gently encourage clients to open up and explore their thoughts and feelings without feeling judged.
