I am a dedicated and empathetic Hispanic therapist passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and find their inner strength. I have been in the mental health field for close to 5 years, with vast experience and training in addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, and bipolar disorder. I continue to expand my academic journey by completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I'm here to support you on your journey towards mental well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, clients can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where they'll have the chance to share their concerns and goals in a safe, non-judgmental space. We'll discuss what brings them to therapy and what they hope to achieve. I'll explain how therapy works and answer any questions they may have. Together, we'll start to explore their strengths, challenges, and any patterns they've noticed. By the end of the session, clients can expect to feel heard, understood, and ready to begin their journey towards positive change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are creating a friendly and understanding atmosphere where clients feel comfortable. I'm good at listening carefully to what clients say, which helps me understand them better. I use different techniques to fit each person's needs and work together with them to find solutions. Also, I'm always learning new things to make sure I can give clients the best support possible. Overall, I care about helping clients feel better and making a real difference in their lives.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people deal with tough feelings and thoughts. We practice mindfulness to calmly observe thoughts without getting caught up in them. Then, we figure out what's really important to them and make plans to move in that direction. By using these strategies, people can feel stronger and live better, even when things get tough.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people recognize and change negative thoughts and actions. We work together to challenge these thoughts and come up with better ways to deal with problems. Through exercises and tasks, people learn practical skills to feel better and handle life's ups and downs. By using CBT, people develop tools to improve their lives and feel happier.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help people find their own reasons for making positive changes. By asking questions, listening, and giving support, I help them figure out what's important to them and how they can reach their goals. It's all about working together to boost their motivation and confidence to make changes that matter to them.

Trauma Informed Care

I use Trauma-Informed Care to make sure clients feel safe and respected, especially if they've been through tough experiences. I understand how trauma can affect people, so I create a supportive environment where they feel understood and in control. By being compassionate and working together, I help clients feel stronger and move forward from difficult times.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients find quick and practical solutions to their challenges. We focus on what's working well and what they want to achieve in the future, rather than dwelling on the past. Through friendly discussions and specific questions, I help clients set achievable goals and make progress towards them. SFBT is all about finding solutions together and moving forward positively.
