I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I attended Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I graduated in 2010. Currently, I provide therapy for mental health and substance use disorders for the following populations: veterans, homeless, at-risk youth, and immigrants.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will consist of introductions and brief assessment. We will narrow down the problem, and discuss the strategies that we will use to alleviate symptoms.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I meet people where they are, without judgement. I find strengths in all who I work with, and I assist the client in seeing these strengths for themselves.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have experience with veterans, at-risk youth, immigrant and homeless populations.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Clinician's experience includes utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety disorders. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an effective means of treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. CBT aims to provide the patient with insight on how thoughts, actions, and emotions have a direct relationship with each other, and can be manipulated for more helpful, anxiety reducing thoughts. Specialty populations served include: veterans, homeless, immigrant, and at-risk youth.
