I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that therapy should feel safe, supportive, and empowering. My journey has taken me through community work, addictions treatment, psychiatric inpatient care, dialysis support, residential treatment with adolescents on the Autism spectrum, and private practice. These experiences allow me to understand people deeply—mind, body, family, and environment—and to tailor therapy in a way that honors your whole story. I bring a blend of clinical expertise, creativity, and cultural awareness into every session.
Your first session is a gentle, conversational space where we explore your goals, history, and what brought you to therapy—at your pace. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and help identify immediate ways to support you. There is no pressure, no judgment—just honest connection, curiosity, and a foundation for collaborative work.
Whole-Person Perspective: My work across medical, psychiatric, community, and residential systems allows me to understand clients through multiple lenses—not just symptoms. Creative, Culturally Responsive Approach: I integrate expressive arts, storytelling (including my Hip Hop Storytelling workshop roots), visual tools, narrative therapy, mindfulness, DBT skills, and movement-based strategies when helpful. Warm, Person-Centered Care: I meet clients where they are, honor their lived experience, and make therapy feel accessible, human, and individualized. Expertise in Women’s Health & Caregiving: I bring deep passion and skill to supporting women navigating hormonal shifts, autoimmune struggles, chronic illness, and the emotional load of caregiving. Ability to Build Trust Quickly: Clients often tell me they feel understood and safe with me early on, which helps therapy progress meaningfully and effectively.
I am best positioned to support children, teens, and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, grief, depression, chronic health conditions. menopause, autoimmune disorders, caregiver stress, major life transitions, and identity challenges. I also specialize in working with individuals who have experienced instability—whether through foster care, adoption, housing insecurity, or long-term caregiving roles. My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck. I work especially well with people who want a therapist who is warm, creative, collaborative, and willing to think “outside the box” while still using strong clinical foundations.
We explore patterns of thinking and behavior that may be holding you back and practice practical tools to create healthier, more balanced responses.
I also integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships—often using creative, relatable activities that make DBT skills easier to understand and apply in real life.
I incorporate Grief Therapy, creating a compassionate space to honor emotions, process the impact of change, and adjust to life after loss—whether related to death, transitions, or identity shifts. With
Psychoeducation, I help you understand how your mind and body work, giving you clear information and tools so you feel informed, confident, and empowered in your healing process.
With Mindfulness-Based Therapy, I help clients slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and build awareness of thoughts and emotions so they can respond—not react—to stress.
