I'm a Compassionate Psychotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience. I provide clients with a safe and supportive space to explore the issues that are impacting them, as well as their relationships with others. While assisting clients in increasing their self-awareness and insight, I work towards helping clients learn to cope more effectively with the issues they are experiencing, manage their emotions better, improve their mental health and well-being, all with the ultimate goal of helping people live a happier and more satisfying life. As a therapist, I appreciate the uniqueness of individuals and embrace a more holistic approach to therapy, drawing on several theoretical perspectives to meet the needs of clients. I am trained in various therapy modalities such as DBT, CBT and Body-Mind. I'm also a holistic health coach for those looking to make lifestyle changes in addition to improving their mental health. As someone who has sought out therapy at various times in my own life, I recognize that taking the step to seek support and find the right therapist isn't always easy. After our first session, my hope is that you will leave feeling heard and supported, as move forward in our work together I trust that you will gain the necessary insights and motivation to create meaningful change in your life. After working together for sometime, my hope is that you will feel emotionally better and have the necessary insights, motivation and life skills to cope and respond to whatever life throws at you!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I work with several treatment modalities, I rely heavily on Dialectial Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my primary modalities for treatment. I find that these theoretical orientations are helpful for most clients, as we focus on the thoughts, behaviors and choices that we are making in an effort to bring insight and change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is probably my style and demeanor as a therapist. While I have a great deal of clinical experience, I come across as genuine, supportive and compassionate. I have the ability to be strong and soft at the same time and I know my clients value that. Therapy for me is a relationship between two people and I enjoy the process of connecting with my clients on a deeper, intimate level and helping them along their path towards healing.
