Hi, I’m Abi, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) practicing in Pennsylvania. I earned my Master’s degree from Bushnell University and have 6 years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. My counseling style is eclectic—drawing from a variety of approaches—to help you heal, grow, and feel empowered. With a blend of empathy and insight, I’m here to guide you toward holistic healing that honors your unique experience. In today’s world, struggling with mental health can often feel isolating or make you feel marginalized. But there is always hope, especially for those who feel overlooked. I’m committed to walking alongside you as we build that hope together. I've worked in non-profit, private practice, and community mental health. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog Gypsy and cooking good food.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our initial session, I’ll take time to understand you—what brought you here, what’s been helpful in the past, and what you’re hoping to achieve. You’ll also get to know me so we can both feel confident this is the right space for you. Together, we’ll begin crafting a plan designed specifically for your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Through my experience in the mental health field, I’ve come to understand the importance of truly listening—because no one knows your experience better than you do. I also prioritize compassion, both in the support I offer and in teaching you how to be gentle with yourself. Together, we’ll work to uncover the underlying causes of your symptoms, so healing can begin at its source.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about supporting adults who are facing a variety of challenges from everyday life to processing through really difficult emotions. I understand how these experiences can make everyday life feel overwhelming and tough to navigate. Many people feel stuck, unsure of themselves, and sometimes even hopeless — and I’m here to help guide them through those difficult moments.

My treatment methods

Somatic

I use Somatic experiencing as part of my practice, by helping clients grow in first understanding what trauma is and how it affects the mind and body, then guiding them in identifying their emotions in their body and finally teaching skills for releasing tension in the body. I often use this skill to help with individuals who have experienced traumatic events.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great tool to help increase awareness of thoughts feelings and behaviors. I use CBT guide clients in exploring their sense of self and ways they can change their thoughts in order to help take back control of their emotions and behaviors.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is helpful tool to build tolerance and to understand a person's own values and how to live according to their values. I help individuals build tolerance by exploring acceptance of a situation they cannot change or how they can use acceptance to facilitate change.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use this treatment method with clients who suffer from OCD symptoms. I teach clients how to sit with their discomfort and help build tolerance. This is helpful because OCD can fill a person with doubt and take away their sense of freedom. By slowly exposing self to the discomfort of not following through with a compulsion, a person will notice a decrease in their anxiety over time.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness in part of so many treatment methods. I use this practice to help a person see their thoughts, emotions, and even themselves in a non judgmental way.
