Hi! I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Behavioral Health Coach. I combine both clinical and coaching practices in order to create lasting change for people. I focus on helping you tap into your own ability to heal and improve your life. I truly believe everyone has the strength within to overcome life's challenges and my role is to guide and support you in rediscovering those strengths.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is spent gathering background information and getting to know one another. Gathering information will help in creating a treatment plan tailored to address your unique needs. I put emphasis on getting to know one another because I believe the best approach to therapy is a collaborative one.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I truly believe a therapist is only as good as the work they put into themselves, so I work everyday to be the best version of myself for my clients. The practices I implement within the therapy process are all practice I have implemented in my own life. In addition, I truly enjoy learning so I am always looking for new ways to improve and grow my scope of practice.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am certified in CBT and implement it in my practice with clients who are struggling with anxiety and depression. It is important to have an understanding of the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors in order to elicit lasting change.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I implement IFS when working with clients to help them understand the different parts within themselves that may be coming in the way of a fulfilling and meaningful life. Once we are able to recognize, understand and address all the parts of ourselves we can then begin to change.

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR. I use this tool to assist clients who are struggling with unprocessed trauma. This tool makes it easier to approach trauma in order to process it.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach when working with clients because I truly believe every person has a unique power within to heal themselves.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use this approach most when working with people. Emotions are something we were all taught to run from, ignore and/or cover up. Emotions are the one thing we will always have, and they are the messengers of the world around us as well as the world inside us. Emotions are the driving force behind behaviors and thoughts. If we can better understand and manage our emotions then we can better understand and manage ourselves and the world.
