What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will begin establishing the therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brought the client to therapy, set goals and develop strategies to help achieve the goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are that I have good interpersonal skills and am multiculturally sensitive. I am a good listener and can communicate effectively. I am warm, accepting and empathetic. In addition, I am a hopeful and optimistic person. Where a client is right now does not determine where he/she will go. It simply determines where we will start.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy I help clients identify patterns of negative or inaccurate thinking that influence their emotional responses and behaviors and replace them with healthier patterns of thinking. I have used CBT with children, adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and ADHD.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With Solution Focused Brief Treatment, I help clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. I have used it to treat people of all ages with behavioral difficulties, ADHD, low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, substance abuse/addiction and relationship issues.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

With Person-centered Therapy, I help clients by being a compassionate facilitator who listens without judgment and acknowledges the client’s experience. I am there to encourage and support. I have used this treatment method to help people with self-esteem issues, grief and interpersonal relationships.
