New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience working with adults, particularly those navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, marital concerns, depression and grief/loss. I specialize in support clients ranging from young adults to those later in life, helping them manage the challenges that come with change, pressure, and loss. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to decrease the negative impact of life's stressors while building practical coping tools. My goal is to empower individuals to feel stronger, more resilient and more hopeful as they move forward in their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we’ll get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your concerns, your goals, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll begin identifying the challenges you’re facing and explore what strategies might help. Most importantly, the first session is about creating a safe, comfortable environment where you feel heard and understood as we lay the foundation for your therapeutic journey. My approach will vary depending on where you are at; as therapy is not a one sized fits all approach.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my approach is the balance of warmth while also being very direct. I try to introduce practical tools the client can use right away. I want to work together with my clients and find what works best for them as this will look different for everyone. This means we will work together to understand what is holding you back while also creating clear, realistic steps towards your goals. I am not afraid of constructive feedback and even welcome it. Again, this process is about the individual and I always want to make sure I am going in the direction that best serves the clients needs to help them feel more confident, resilient and empowered in their daily lives.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults who are feeling overwhelmed by life's pressures- where that is anxiety, stress, depression, grief or navigating major life transitions Man of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, weighed down, or unsure of how to move forward. Together, we focus on building clarity, coping strategies, and a renewed sense of resilience. Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches, I help clients reduce the negative impact of stress while working toward practical goals that support growth, balance, and a more positive outlook on life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to stress, anxiety, and depression. With over 10 years of experience, I use CBT to guide clients in making connections between their thoughts, feelings, and actions, and to develop healthier ways of coping. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented. I work alongside clients to challenge negative thinking, practice new skills, and create strategies that can be applied in daily life. This method not only helps reduce immediate symptoms but also builds long-term resilience and confidence in managing life’s challenges.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a practical, goal-oriented approach that emphasizes solutions rather than focusing only on problems. Instead of dwelling on what isn’t working, SFBT helps clients identify their strengths, resources, and past successes to create positive change. With my training and experience using this method, I work with clients to set clear, realistic goals and take small, achievable steps toward them. This approach is especially helpful for clients who want to see progress quickly, build confidence, and develop practical strategies they can apply in everyday life.
