Hi, My name is Tamyka Scott. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Youngstown, Ohio. I graduated from Youngstown State University where I received a Masters Degree in Social Work in 2018. For the past five years in the profession, I have worked within a community-based setting, and virtual private practice where I have witnessed the transformative power of therapy in helping individuals regain control of their lives.
After the first session, my goal is to provide an experience where individuals will feel a sense of acceptance, understanding, and readiness to begin approaching goals that are collaboratively developed to open doors to a new life journey. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, I aim to create a collaborative environment for individuals to feel heard, understood, and supported in their journey towards healing and personal growth.
I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, addressing not only the symptoms but underlying causes by providing unconditional support and a judgement free space.
Acceptance and mindfulness strategies in combination with commitment and behavior strategies to build a meaningful values-based life.
