Hi! I'm Lydia Mandell. My specialty is guiding women who are 40+ through mid-life transitions using spirituality, and mind-body connection. I bring over 20 years of experience as Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist to my practice. I have worked with hundreds of clients throughout my career, integrating a variety modalities including art therapy, movement, humor, meditation, ceremony, and breathwork into my practice to help my clients to remember who they truly are outside of others' expectations.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect a warm, inviting, and collaborative experience. In your first session, we will get to know each other and discuss the specific challenges you might be facing in your life. We will craft an initial plan to get you from where you are now to where you'd like to be using modalities speak to you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am kind, compassionate and create a safe container for your vulnerability. I'm an expert at holding deep healing space for my clients to express complex feelings and concerns. I use a collaborative approach to therapy and believe you are the best expert in what you need to have a fulfilled happy life.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

I require a 15 minute consult call prior to intake. Consults are scheduled between 8:30am and 9:00 most mornings. Contact me to schedule your call. Women who are age 40+ are managing a multitude of changes in their bodies. I believe that our bodies offer us so much wisdom that often remains unnoticed or untapped. Taking a mind-body approach to therapy leads you into places you might be storing stress or emotions in the body. When we integrate information form our minds and bodies, we can take a holistic approach to your healing, well-being, and thriving.

Eclectic

As a therapist and life-long learner, I don't subscribe to any one method of working with my clients. I use the many tools in my toolbox to choose the best ones for each individual. Therapy is not one size fits all. I use an eclectic approach to connect to your specific concerns and help you achieve the goals and feelings you desire.

Somatic

I love helping people get out of their heads and into their bodies. For the past 13 years I have done multiple trainings in movement, breathwork, meditation, and other somatic techniques that can be used when talking isn't enough or when talking isn't the best course of action. I offer tools that you can use between sessions to calm the nervous system, enliven your body, and soothe your mind.
