I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I received my PMHNP license in 2023. Prior to becoming a NP, I was a mental health nurse, nurse educator and mental health change agent for 19 years. As a mental health advocate my goal is to ensure that each client receives individualized, and patient centered care, to help you along your journey to becoming a "new you."

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my goal is to make you feel comfortable. We will start with a brief introduction and you will also provide some background on why you need mental health services. During the session, you will receive a diagnosis, medication mangement and therapy if needed. I will serve the adult and geriatric population and help to identify and treat psychiatric conditions holistically.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I offer a comfortable, relaxed therapeutic atmosphere filled with support and active listening.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young adults and the elderly with anxiety/panic disorders, mood disorders and trauma. If you are feeling tearful, irritable, or having issues with attention and focus, allow me to help you determine a course of treatment that can help you feel more like yourself. I will use a combination of assessment, evaluation and talk therapy to ascertain any underlying mental health alterations to develop a diagnosis and care plan to promote positive behavioral changes.
