Embrace Life Consulting & Wellness is a private practice offering counseling through Tele-mental health. I specialize in issues that negatively affect your mental health such as trauma stemming from separation/divorce, narcissistic abuse recovery, abuse of any kind, grief, marital/family discord, and co-parenting/parenting support as well as many other life defining moments. Located in Atlanta, GA, my practice is here to help you not only heal, but heal well. Let's connect today!
First and foremost, after all paperwork, especially the intake and safety contract has been completed then, I will see you. In our first session, clients can expect to meet with a very compassionate, warm, and welcoming professional eager to listen to their most pressing concerns. Nevertheless, I will also ask questions related to your mental health issues to gain more clarity. These questions also assist me in creating a professional and psychological roadmap to identify exceptions to your mental health problems, possible solutions, and conscious and unconscious strengths to build and work from. Yet in your first session, I will be very interested in hearing about your goals for treatment and what you desire most from counseling. These goals will not only be utilized as key markers to help us remain focused, but also they create a direction from which to start and end our final counseling session. My goal is to help you get to your desired destination.
In a world of transactional relationships and dynamics, my clients have continuously praised my commitment to remaining constant, consistent, and vocal during our therapeutic alliance. They have all agreed that it is my unwavering empathy, compassion, attentiveness, and ability to relate to them in a non-judgmental capacity that they like most about me. Moreover, clients have repeatedly noticed that the space that we create together is unlike any other dynamic that they've experienced in their lives. Clients comment on how they feel heard, seen, validated, and even encouraged after each session. Likewise, they have emphasized that no matter what they disclose, they do not feel judged, condemned, or criticized. Because of this, clients have identified that our therapeutic alliance plays a major role in helping them to feel safe and secure enough to begin making hard decisions; some of which they admit, they have avoided making throughout their lives. Moreover, clients have acknowledged that the decisions they make during and even after counseling are authentic and genuine to where they are in life and who they dream to become. Furthermore, clients have voiced that with this newfound confidence, they were able to manifest very real and tangible rewards in their lives--both immediate and long term.
Most of my clients enter into therapy at some of the hardest, painful and most difficult points in their lives. While they may experience some apprehension and ambivalence, they all come willing and ready to work. Clients who complete their paperwork before counseling, make counseling a weekly practice, and who demonstrate the commitment and motivation necessary to grow and change their lives are always great to work with in sessions. Clients maintain their commitment to improve their mental health and are able to sustain some sense of discomfort as they transition from old ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving that no longer serve them. While new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving may feel foreign to them, they make these changes out of the desires, curiosity, and excitement that they feel over building a new life on their own terms.
I use a myriad of treatment modalities which help to not only provide the client with resolution, but also decreases the client's likelihood of becoming stuck. I also incorporate breathwork, art, music, and other sources where appropriate, which helps to develop and expand strategies to cope.

I was able to open up and be honest about my situation. Thanks to Martina Watson.
