I am a young, Afro-Caribbean mom. Psychology and healing deeply excite me. I interned with a psychiatrist in high school, graduated from Spelman College with a degree in psychology, obtained my Masters in clinical counseling from Georgia State, and am currently completing my doctorate in Psychology. I know there is a greater capacity for healing available for individuals who typically have not been supported by the mental health field, and I desire to keep challenging and expanding that capacity. I enjoy working side by side with clients to explore areas of possibility, healing, and growth. Then watching the healing and growth manifest.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session clients feel understood, sometimes for the first times in their life. In the first session we complete an activity that gives us a snapshot of where the client currently is in life and experience. By the end the session we both have a picture of what has been the pain point for the client and some barriers to change. The client will also understand which modalities may work best for their healing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are listening between the lines and bringing thought provoking questions to the forefront, being in alignment with the client for deep understanding, paying attention to slight body shifts and tone, being transparent, and full acceptance with being different myself in order to create space for clients who have felt like there isn't a healing space for them within traditional mental health spaces.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is an amazing mind-body experience that allows me to provide a space for you to explore blocks and barriers to your healing. Brainspotting is beneficial when traditional talk therapy has gone as far as it can without including the physical bodies memories and feelings.
