About me

Hi, I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the proud owner of Synergy Psychiatry. With a focus on evidence-based, compassionate care, I founded Synergy to create a space where patients feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to make mental health treatment approachable, personalized, and empowering. I earned my PMHNP at Wayne State University, focusing on psychiatric care, and I bring years of experience working in mental health settings. My approach is rooted in collaboration. I believe in working closely with clients to understand their goals, provide thoughtful medication management, and explore holistic strategies that promote emotional well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect to leave our sessions feeling heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to create a calm, judgment-free space where you can talk openly about what you’re going through. Together, we’ll work to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and explore strategies to help you feel more balanced and in control. Over time, many clients notice improved mood, reduced anxiety, clearer thinking, and more confidence in handling life’s stressors. Whether we’re focusing on medication management, coping skills, or just making space to process your thoughts, the focus is always on what feels most helpful and meaningful to you. I want our time together to feel like a step forward, every time.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to care is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in mutual respect. I view each client as the expert in their own life, and my role is to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and work alongside you to create a treatment plan that fits your goals and values. I take time to build trust and ensure that care feels personalized, not one-size-fits-all. In our work together, I incorporate both medication management and supportive psychotherapy, depending on your needs. I also consider the impact of environment, trauma, identity, and systemic barriers on mental health. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or ADHD, or you’re simply feeling stuck, I aim to provide a space where you feel heard and supported.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are those who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward but are open to doing the work to feel better. I work well with people who may be high-functioning on the outside but are dealing with anxiety, depression, or burnout beneath the surface. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, relationship issues, or the long-term effects of trauma. I’m especially drawn to working with clients who want a thoughtful, nonjudgmental space to sort through their thoughts and emotions. Whether their goal is to manage symptoms, improve their relationships, set boundaries, or simply feel more grounded, I focus on helping them build insight and resilience at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

My treatment methods

Supportive

In my practice, I use supportive therapy often, especially with clients who may not be ready for deeper work or who are in the midst of acute distress. I’ve found it particularly effective in working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, or adjustment-related stress. I use techniques like active listening, reframing negative thoughts, offering reassurance, and helping clients identify and use their existing coping strategies.
