Hi there! I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with almost a decade of experience in the nursing field. I have worked in various settings such as acute psychiatric inpatient treatment, corrections, and outpatient psychiatric care as a PMHNP. I graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. My philosophy is that there is a deep connection between the mind, body, and soul. I believe you cannot effectively heal one without placing focus on the others. I pride myself in approaching patient care from a more holistic standpoint. While medication can be helpful in a patient's treatment plan, I equally advocate for therapy, nutrition, and lifestyle changes. Most importantly, I take time to listen to you. You do not have to struggle alone any longer. If your current treatment plan isn't working for you or you have never been on medications before, I encourage you to reach out to try a more integrative wellness approach to your care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first appointment will be getting to know you in a safe, confidential environment. The first appointment is usually 45-60 minutes long. We will use the last 15 minutes or so to discuss our next steps going forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in treating depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar and related disorders, insomnia, and trauma/stressor-related disorders. I have a special interest in treating those with a history of trauma. To many of us and/or our loved ones, trauma is no stranger. I believe in listening to my clients, understanding their unique needs, and partnering with them on their journey to wellness.
