Hello, I am a licensed counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I received my master's Degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling, and I have been practicing for the past 10 years. I help adults and family member's who are struggling with conflict within their family systems. Additionally, I work with adults who are struggling with addiction by helping clients to identify the emotional and behavioral cues connected to their substance use.
During the first session, we will start with introductions, we will discuss the challenges the individual, couple, or family is facing. We will then develop an outline of goals and objectives using measurable outcomes to support improving identified challenges.
Having worked with clients and families throughout the past 10 years, my ability to establish a trusting therapeutic alliance with clients is one of my biggest strengths. I used many strength-based approaches to assist clients in achieving their goals.
I enjoy working with clients and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, mood irritability, and poor stress management. The goal is to teach clients how to strengthen communication skills while teaching the client to advocate for their needs. Additionally, I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with an addiction to substances. These clients often lack the coping skills needed to manage emotional stressors connected to substance use.
I conceptualize cases that focus on interactions within the family system. Additionally, the approach assists individual clients and families understand how communication influences implicit and explicit rules for interactions within the family system. This approach can be used for individuals, couples, or families.
