I am a licensed mental health counselor who has been practicing for three years. I understand that navigating your mental health can be both challenging and empowering. Whether you seek guidance through a life transition or want to decrease anxious thoughts, I will support you at every step. My approach is rooted in empathy, devoid of judgment, and focused on fostering acceptance of where you are while encouraging growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial sessions, we will craft a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs to help you regain your life. As clients attend regular sessions, most begin to see improvement in symptoms within the first month.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have years of experience with children, teens, and adults and have been exposed to a wide range of therapeutic skills and styles. My superpower is my empathetic approach and crafting sessions devoid of judgment while focusing on fostering acceptance.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Clients can expect to take away a range of valuable insights, skills, and personal growth from their sessions with me. Here are some key outcomes and goals that I typically set with clients: emotion homework that enhances self-awareness and emotional regulation, communication skills that increase self-esteem, and interpersonal skills. I also introduce a variety of coping skills to help increase resiliency and provide empowerment in my clients' lives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate ACT techniques to help clients develop mindfulness skills, clarify their values, and commit to meaningful actions aligned with them. I often begin by assisting clients to understand the concept of psychological flexibility and its role in their emotional well-being. This involves exploring their relationship with their thoughts and emotions and teaching them mindfulness techniques to observe these experiences without judgment.

Compassion Focused

I help clients learn to understand the basis of their emotions, particularly those related to threat and self-criticism, and develop skills to respond to themselves and others with kindness and understanding. Through various techniques such as compassionate imagery, mindfulness, and cognitive restructuring, clients gradually build a compassionate mindset, which fosters emotional healing and resilience.
