Hi! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I received my Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and have been in the counseling field for 10 years. I have experience in various settings including inpatient services, outpatient services, government, schools, community-based, and private practice. I primarily work with adolescents and adults individually, although I have worked with couples and families. I specialize in the following: Anxiety, Depression, relationship issues, divorce/co-parenting, prenatal and postpartum (including postpartum depression and anxiety), Career Counseling and employment-related issues, Family Conflict, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Substance Abuse/addiction, and people with Disabilities (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, Physical Disabilities).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will review therapy expectations and logistics, including confidentiality, scheduling, my therapeutic style, and how sessions typically go. We discuss what brought you to therapy, what issues you are currently experiencing, and review your goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am able to create a safe and comfortable space to explore thoughts, feelings, unhelpful patterns, traumas, etc. I aim to give clients tangible strategies and tools that they can implement outside of sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Although I use other approaches based on a Client's needs and preferences, I primarily use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy methods to help clients explore and identify their unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to their symptoms. We'll work on challenging and reframing those thoughts to be more helpful and identify other strategies to help manage and reduce presenting issues.
