In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and talking about what brings you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share your goals, challenges, and strengths, and together we’ll begin to outline a plan that feels supportive and realistic. For children and teens, I use creative and engaging approaches to help them feel comfortable and will include parents or caregivers when helpful. For adults and couples, the first session is a chance to share your story at your own pace and begin identifying strengths to build on. By the end, we’ll begin shaping a plan together so you leave feeling heard, supported, and encouraged about the next steps.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are creating a safe, supportive space and helping clients build on their resilience. With children and teens, I use creative, engaging methods to support those coping with ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation, and school-related stress, while involving parents when helpful. With adults, I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions by uncovering strengths, reframing thought patterns, and developing practical tools for growth. With couples, I help partners improve communication, navigate conflict, and rebuild trust, using solution-focused and trauma-informed strategies to strengthen their connection. My therapy modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy, and strength-based approaches, which I tailor to the unique needs of each client. Clients often describe my style as warm, consistent, and encouraging, with a focus on empowerment and meaningful progress.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with children, teens, adults, and couples who are seeking growth, healing, and stronger connections. My clients may be facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or life transitions, but they come with the hope and motivation to move forward. With children and teens, I support challenges like ADHD, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and school stress, while also helping parents build positive communication at home. With adults, I focus on reducing stress, building resilience, and navigating change. With couples, I help partners improve communication, resolve conflict, and rebuild trust. My approach is strength-based, collaborative, and supportive, drawing on each client’s resilience and creativity. Together, we work toward practical tools, healthier relationships, and meaningful growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. With children and teens, I often adapt CBT using creative, age-appropriate tools to address ADHD, anxiety, or school stress. With adults and couples, CBT provides practical strategies for managing stress, improving communication, and building lasting change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their existing strengths and focus on practical steps toward their goals. Rather than spending all of our time on problems, we highlight what is already working and build on those successes. With children and teens, I use SFBT to encourage confidence, resilience, and positive choices in daily life. With adults and couples, this approach helps clarify goals, improve communication, and create meaningful change in a short period of time.
Trauma Informed Care
I practice Trauma-Informed Care by creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel respected and empowered. This approach recognizes how past trauma can impact current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. With children and teens, I focus on building trust and using gentle, developmentally appropriate strategies to support healing and resilience. With adults and couples, I help clients strengthen coping skills, rebuild a sense of safety, and develop healthier patterns in relationships
