I am a Licensed Clincal Social Worker with over 22 years of experience in working with children, youth and adults. My goal is to foster hope and healing through supporting my clients in dealing with depression, anxiety and trauma. My hope is to help my clients develop insight into their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, to be able to reflect on their lives and identify ways to fulfill their dreams and live a more peaceful and productive life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My client can expect to find acceptance, support and acknowledgement in their first session. It is my goal to ensure my clients feel safe and heard as we develop an understanding of their challenges and treatment goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to listen and support my clients in developing insight into the challenges they are facing and providing guidance as they navigate towards their therapeutic goals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adolescents and adults who are insightful and hopeful as they navigate the challenges of life to discover their passions and improve their relationships with first themselves and then with the world around them.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am trained and certified in providing Trauma Focused CBT. I have used this treatment method in my practice over the past 10 years to support clients suffering from trauma related difficulties and traumatic grief.

Family Therapy

My experience with Family therapy extends over 20 years, during this time I have utilized family therapy to engage families in managing issues related to communication, conflict and problem solving. I have also supported clients in managing individual issues within the context of the family system to change dynamics with the family structure and improve relationships.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Throughout the course of my practice my focus is on supporting clients to effect changes in their lives through meaningful reflection and consideration of alternate ways of addressing their problems rather than focusing on the problems themselves. This includes assessing how we think about the problem and how we act in relation to where we want to go in life. I use this practice to empower clients and foster change.
