Hi! My name is Victoria and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters from the University of South Florida and have been practicing for 5 years. Deciding to pursue therapy and sharing our emotions can be incredibly scary but you're here and thats the hardest step! I truly believe the more comfortable we can be in therapy, the easier it is to benefit and grow from the process. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, validated, and understood. I’m here to provide you with support and guidance you need to reach your social and emotional goals.
In our first session, you can expect a laid back, collaborative, and warm environment. We will work together to identify what you want therapy to look like moving forward and goals we can work towards.
While working in both an inpatient and outpatient setting, I’ve had the opportunity to gain experience working with diverse populations who've faced various concerns including anxiety, depression, work and school stress, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. At times therapy can feel very heavy and intimidating. Because of this, I feel one of my greatest strengths is bringing humor and levity into my practice
I enjoy working with young adults ages 18-35 in navigating life transitions, career changes, interpersonal relationships, and the stress of everyday life.
CBT can be useful with treating a wide variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, navigating interpersonal relationships, stress management, and everyday life challenges. Through a collaborative approach, I will help you recognize how your thoughts and thinking patterns could be impacting your feelings. Together we will develop goals and a plan to navigate unhealthy and unhelpful thoughts to improve your ability to face life’s challenges.
