New to Grow
I am a compassionate and collaborative therapist who provides a supportive space for clients to explore their experiences, build insight, and create meaningful change. I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and life transitions, using evidence-based approaches such as EMDR while tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs. My goal is to help clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with tools to move forward with greater clarity and resilience.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and creating a comfortable, supportive foundation for our work together. I will ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from the process. We will also review relevant history, discuss how therapy works, and talk about what a structured and guided approach—including EMDR, if appropriate—might look like for you. You can expect the session to feel collaborative and paced. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and clear about next steps. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and outline a plan for therapy that fits your needs, comfort level, and readiness for EMDR work.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to provide a structured, guided, and collaborative therapy experience while remaining attuned to each client’s individual needs. I help clients feel safe, supported, and clear about the therapy process, especially when engaging in EMDR work. I am skilled at pacing sessions thoughtfully, building strong foundations through preparation and resourcing, and knowing when to move forward and when to slow down. I also bring a calm, grounded presence that helps clients feel at ease while doing meaningful and sometimes challenging work. By integrating EMDR with practical skills, reflection, and clear goals, I support clients in creating lasting change rather than short-term relief. Clients often appreciate my ability to offer direction, ask thoughtful questions, and help them make sense of their experiences in a way that feels empowering and manageable.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated, open to learning, and looking for a structured and guided therapy experience. They may be seeking EMDR or feel ready to process past experiences, trauma, or long-standing patterns that continue to affect their daily lives. I work best with clients who appreciate clear direction, collaboration, and an active approach to therapy. Together, we establish goals, build stability and coping skills, and use EMDR—when appropriate—in a thoughtful, paced, and supportive way to promote meaningful and lasting change.
EMDR
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy originally developed to help people process trauma and distressing life experiences. Over time, I have used EMDR with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and negative core beliefs that feel difficult to shift through talk therapy alone. In my practice, EMDR is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand each client’s history, current stressors, and goals before deciding whether EMDR is an appropriate fit. When we do use EMDR, it is always paced carefully and collaboratively, with a strong focus on safety, stabilization, and building internal resources first. I integrate EMDR into therapy as part of a broader, supportive approach. Sessions may include preparation skills, grounding techniques, and reflection, alongside EMDR reprocessing. This allows clients to process past experiences while also developing tools to manage emotions, improve self-understanding, and feel more present in their daily lives. My goal in using EMDR is to help clients reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories, loosen the hold of unhelpful beliefs, and move toward greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. Clients remain in control throughout the process, and we regularly check in to ensure the work feels manageable and aligned with their needs.
