Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) based out of Pennsylvania. I earned my Masters from Drexel University and have been practicing in the field for over 10 years. I collaborate with neurodivergent clients and their families/caregivers to identify and achieve their goals. I hold the belief that clients should take the lead in their therapeutic journey, and my role is to facilitate and support this process by aligning with their strengths and values. I have an eclectic approach and utilize affirming, holistic interventions to support a unique journey of problem-solving, self-discovery and acceptance.
I am very aware that opening up to a new and unfamiliar person can be a challenge within itself! During our first session I will have the opportunity to learn about you, your strengths/challenges, supports/barriers, and the goals you have for yourself. If there is any immediate feedback I can offer, I will share it... but this time is focused on building a therapeutic relationship and coming up with our game plan moving forward. If you have any questions for me during this process, let me know!
My style as a therapist has evolved and matured over the years and the feedback I often get is that I am relatable, with a strength in establishing a positive alliance with my clients. I love utilizing humor and creativity to address topics that can be difficult for many. I deeply care about making the session as comfortable and beneficial for the client as I can. I appreciate feedback from clients and am always open to learning new ideas, theories, perspectives.
I use a collaborative and strengths-based approach in my work, aiming to support children, parents, adults, and families. I love working with clients that are motivated to find more self-satisfaction and acceptance. You might be aware of the challenges you currently struggling with and are open to collaboration to find creative solutions. The folks I work with often enter therapy feeling overwhelmed or stuck in some (or many) aspects of their life and are ready to process. Some seasons are not exactly easy and I am here to help! This could include difficulties in relationships, within our roles as a student or part of an organization, transitions into parenthood, or feeling more confident in yourself as whole.
So often our society communicates to us what we are doing “wrong.” During our sessions, I want to help you identify your strengths and build upon them! Together we will collaborate to identify your goals, process the challenges, and cultivate resilience.
I have been working in the mental health field for over ten years and in that time, I have had the opportunity to train in different therapeutic modalities and theories. My goal is to integrate treatment techniques that is tailored to each individual! I believe a client-centered, holistic approach can be extremely beneficial in reaching your unique goals!
