Hi, I'm Regina Peacock, a licensed clinical therapist who is passionate about helping people break free from the overwhelming grips of anxiety. I understand that anxiety isn't just a set of symptoms—it's a real, exhausting experience that can make you feel stuck and hopeless. I specialize in supporting people battling Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Trauma related issues. I also treat Depression and Chronic Stress. My approach goes beyond managing symptoms—I'm here to help you rediscover your strength and create lasting peace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is designed to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where you'll feel heard and supported. We'll begin with introductions, where I'll invite you to share how you'd like to be addressed and confirm that you can call me Regina Peacock. While I've completed two doctoral degrees, I prefer a warm, approachable connection. If this is your first time in therapy, I'll carefully walk you through our platform, explaining how to log in and answering any questions about paperwork or technical concerns. I'll also clearly outline the limits of confidentiality, ensuring you feel informed and at ease. Our initial meeting is an opportunity for mutual understanding—I'm genuinely interested in getting to know you, we will briefly explore your life in terms of your age, family dynamics (children, spouse etc.), work, and even your beloved pets. This session serves as an initial assessment, so we will also discuss your current environment, explore your thought patterns, and examine important aspects of your daily life like sleep and eating habits. My goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of what brings you to therapy, creating a foundation for our future work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in a comprehensive, multidisciplinary understanding of human experience. As a recently completed PhD in Cognitive Psychology and a clinical director with five years of extensive practice, I bring a unique, integrative perspective that draws from neurology, psychology, philosophy, and spirituality. Unlike approaches that rely on a single lens, I understand that healing is complex and deeply personal. What truly sets my practice apart is my commitment to holistic understanding. I approach each client's experience with intellectual rigor and profound respect for individual differences. While I have a spiritual perspective that informs my work, I recognize that spirituality means different things to different people. My goal is not to impose a specific worldview, but to create a space of genuine understanding that honors each client's unique background, beliefs, and lived experience. I blend scientific insight with empathetic listening, offering a nuanced approach that considers the intricate connections between mind, body, and personal narrative.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am deeply committed to supporting individuals at various stages of their mental health journey, particularly those feeling overwhelmed by anxiety's persistent challenges. My approach resonates with people who are ready to understand their inner struggles, develop meaningful tools, and create positive change in their lives. From students navigating academic pressures to professionals feeling stuck in cycles of worry, and individuals working through traumatic experiences, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where healing can begin. I work best with clients who are curious about their inner world, willing to explore their emotions, and committed to personal growth, even when the path feels challenging or uncertain. As a neurotherapist, my dream client is someone who craves deep self-understanding—an individual driven by curiosity about their own neural patterns and psychological mechanisms. These are clients who don't just want symptom relief, but who are passionate about exploring the "why" behind their experiences, eager to understand how their brain functions, and committed to unraveling the intricate connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behavioral responses.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience with multiple modalities, including CBT, DBT, and ERP therapy. I specialize in all anxiety disorders including PTSD, OCD, Social Anxiety as well as anxiety caused by chronic stress. The way I use CBT is to examine the underlying beliefs that are guiding the automatic thoughts and subsequent feeling and behaviors. I then work to challenge those beliefs which will change the thoughts as well as feelings and behaviors. I am big on psychoeducation and work with clients to understand themselves as well as the CBT Triangle.
