New to Grow
Welcome! I am grateful that you have found your way here, and I wish you the best on your journey of healing and hope. Outreaching for support can be tough, but I believe deeply in the trust and connection that therapy can create, and it is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as we all navigate this crazy world together. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I have been working in the field for over five years. I have worked with diverse and incredible population of children, families and adults during that time. My goal in therapy is to create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore and find a gentle hope in building a life that feels meaningful and valuable to you. I truly believe that therapy works best when it comes from a place of compassion, understanding, empowerment, and a little bit of humor and fun.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
We will begin by exploring your reasons for coming to therapy, your history and background, and together, we will think about and talk through how our sessions can support your hopes and healing. It is a collaborative process where your pacing and safety are prioritized. It can be hard to find a good fit with a therapist, and making sure that you feel understood and hopeful about our work together is my primary goal.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe the most effective therapeutic work comes from a place of compassion and strength. Therapy sessions often include gentle attention and attunement to our embodied experiences, checking in with how life's challenges are showing up for you physically and in the moment. I focus on building a sense of self-efficacy and acceptance of all parts of yourself, even the parts of yourself that can be hard to face or sometimes can get in your way. I am no stranger to my own mental health hurdles and challenges, and through my lived experience, and the lessons of my clients, I seek to support clients in empowering themselves to cultivate the lives that will bring them meaning and joy.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am committed to the belief that we have the inner strength and reserves that we need to cultivate vital and fulfilling lives. I work with clients dealing with trauma, life transitions, caregiving, grief, challenges around self-esteem and identity, anxiety, LGBTQIA, depression, attention issues/processing differences, higher education issues, and existential pain around difficult world and life events. We all need support throughout the journey of life, and therapy is one tool that can help provide that support.
