I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience specializing in the treatment of individuals who have experienced trauma. My practice is dedicated to helping clients navigate the complex journey of healing from traumatic events, providing them with the tools and support needed to reclaim their lives and well-being. Trauma can have a profound impact on an individual's mental, emotional, and physical health. It's not uncommon for those who have experienced trauma to also struggle with substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. These conditions are often interconnected, creating a cycle that can be challenging to break without professional support.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial meeting, here's what you can expect: We'll start by getting to know each other. We'll work together to identify the specific concerns or issues that are prompting you to seek therapy. We'll discuss the therapeutic approaches and styles that might be most helpful for you. Based on our discussion, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that outlines the goals, strategies, and expected outcomes for our therapy work together. You will be able to ask me any questions during the intake session. By the end of our intake session, we'll have a solid foundation for our therapeutic relationship, and you'll have a better understanding of what we can work on together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a licensed mental health therapist, I bring a unique combination of skills and qualities to our therapy sessions. Some of my greatest strengths include my down-to-earth yet direct approach, being genuine and authentic, being empathetic, caring and kind. My unwavering commitment to treating trauma sets me apart in the field of therapy. I am dedicated to staying at the forefront of trauma research and therapeutic techniques, ensuring that my clients receive the highest standard of care. I currently use trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat trauma, but I am excited to announce that I will be receiving training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) this summer. This additional training will further enhance my ability to help clients with trauma, providing another effective tool in your healing journey.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

My therapeutic approach is eclectic. I believe that everyone is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. That's why I take the time to get to know you as an individual, understand your strengths and challenges, and develop a personalized plan that's tailored to your unique situation.
