My passion is helping, including creating a comfortable space that allows individuals to be their authentic selves without judgment. We all have a story that includes various experiences. I enjoy helping individuals to gain an understanding of their stories to provide them with clarity and empowerment. My experience as a therapist includes domestic violence, trauma, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders in a variety of settings.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session allows us the opportunity to introduce ourselves and establish a therapeutic relationship. This includes an assessment to get a better understanding of an individuals current situation and identifying goals/areas of focus while in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Your well-being is my top priority. Empowering individuals to live their best life is what I enjoy doing. As a therapist, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with a focus on domestic violence, childhood trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to assist individuals with identifying thoughts, emotions, and behaviors associated with the thoughts and feelings. The approach has been used in my practice to help individuals learn to challenge irrational thoughts/beliefs to change behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This evidence based approach has been proven to be successful with individuals who have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I have also found this approach useful when treating substance abuse issues.

Trauma Informed Care

This approach acknowledges that most people have experienced trauma and that experience needs to be taken into consideration when providing care. It has allowed me to meet people where they are and provide the support necessary for individuals to reach their identified goals.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

As a therapist I provide a safe space for individuals to work on their identified goals. The space is free of judgement and full of encouragement, empowerment, and support.
