Hello! I am glad you are here and taking courageous steps towards improving your overall well-being. I have experience working with professionals who need help with setting boundaries, decreasing anxiety or depression, or improving work-life balance, perfectionism, and/or relationships. I also enjoy working with new moms who may need help with postpartum anxiety, depression, or navigating adjustments since motherhood. Please email me at kailynn@evolvetxtherapysvcs.com for additional availability or scheduling options.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I recognize how difficult it can be to start and show up for therapy. I focus on building relationships with my clients and making them feel as comfortable as possible in sessions. In the first session, we will start building our relationship, understand your current needs or concerns, and develop realistic goals to work on in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients describe me as understanding, validating, helpful, respectful, and nonjudgmental. We will work at a pace you are comfortable with to meet your goals. I am here to support you and help you make the changes you want. We will work together to make your goals a reality and do so in a way that feels realistic for you. I have 10 years experience working with a variety of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, individuals in crisis, victims of sexual abuse, sexual offenders, and individuals who have experienced traumatic injuries. I recently obtained my Certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional and am certified as a Clinical Supervisor to supervise LMSW's wanting to become LCSW's.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am well-versed in CBT, as I have participated in over 24 hours of training. I utilize CBT daily and am very comfortable teaching interventions using this approach.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I participated in a 16 hour DBT training that was very informative and helpful. I use those techniques almost daily in therapy, as they help many of my clients with expressing and managing their emotions and improving interpersonal relationships. I use the skills from DBT to teach mindfulness and distress tolerance as well.

Trauma Informed Care

I obtained my certification in treating trauma (CCTP) last year. I focus on how the traumatic experience (or experiences) are affecting you now and decreasing those symptoms. I was trained to not retraumatize clients so I do not not need detail of events in order to effectively treat your current symptoms. I help my clients reach their goals through a variety of approaches, including CBT, psychoeducation around nervous system, inner child work, and sensorimotor (mind-body) techniques.
