Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Kentucky. I earned my Master's Degree in 2003 and have been practicing as a LCSW since 2006. I am experienced in helping adults manage life's challenges to reach their full potential. I utilize Solution-Focused Therapy and a strengths-based approach to support you in accomplishing your goals and improving your life. I also use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you see the connection of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I am also EMDR trained.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect me to gather some history from you to understand the challenges you are facing. This will help us set a plan to work on in our future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. My approach is focused on creating a safe space for you to feel comfortable sharing and problem solving. Our work together will be collaborative, and results driven where we focus on healing solutions for managing the challenges you are facing. We will identify your strengths and lived experiences to assist you in using your resources.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT to help clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Motivational Interviewing

I have over 15 years of experience using Motivational Interviewing to help clients in treatment for a variety of needs. Through Motivational Interviewing, I will help you identify strengths and resolve uncertainty that is preventing you from making healthier life choices.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Through Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I have helped clients focus on the present and future to achieve goals, rather than dwelling on the past. This approach helps me to emphasize your strengths and resources and assist you in creating solutions.
