I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with victims of trauma with diverse backgrounds since 2015. I am a fire wife so I understand the constant change and challenges that life brings you and how looking at your life holistically can be a huge advantage. I have worked with all ages in many different social service settings.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I let you take control of our conversation allowing me to just listen and get to know you. At the end of our first session, I will clarify what I understood and we will work together to create your plan moving forward to allow us to start measuring progress in your treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths as a provider is that I am transparent in my communication and appropriately challenge my clients. I have worked with diverse ages and backgrounds allowing me to fully understand the effects of trauma in different individuals. I have worked with many clients who have engaged in treatment before but was unsuccessful so I am not afraid of having a courageous conversation about what has and has not worked previously.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

When you are feeling down and unable to see the bright side of a situation, I like to utilize and implement a strengths based approach as there is always a light to any situation.

Attachment-based

I believe in the attachment experienced as a child navigates how you perceive your future and working on potentially broken attachment stages can heal in order to live the best future possible.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am certified in DBT and have worked in crisis settings as well as with child and adults in crisis, experiencing suicidal ideations and severe self-harm.

Psychoeducation

I believe in all individuals having access to psychoeducation in order to be as informed as possible to make accurate informed decisions about their own care.

Trauma Informed Care

I have specialized in trauma informed care since 2015 and have experience with abuse, neglect, poverty, homelessness and ptsd.
