Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session together, we will mainly focus on what brought you here, How my experience might best serve you, and I will share my own experiences while helping and you get comfortable with me and the therapeutic process.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have an extensive background in working with children and families in the comfort of their own homes, but since the Pandemic, some things have changed at bit. Given my previous work expereionce, CBT modalities is what I have found to be not only one of my go to-go favorotes, but have found it is also the one that resonates with many people. I learn from you through our interactions and visits, and make an informed selection of which modality might work for you. You are always in charge of your journey, and we will choose together whatwill work best for you. Part of the treasure of Therapy is that it is a practice, always open for further growth and exploration.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

A good portion of my career has been spent working with children in the foster care system. Being a foster child myself I found that I resonated well with a younger population from the start. I have a gift for working with children and families and usually have a funny way to look at things that helps the younger ones that tend to gravitate towards my style. I've worked many years with adults in the treatment facilities to address both substance use and domestic violence situations as well. I think what most people say about me is that I am easy to talk to. Being a trauma survivor myself, I know first hand what this process can feel like. I also know the beautiful gift I've been rewarded with. To share and walk with you on your own particular journey. I love that part of my Job!
