About me

Hello — I’m Rinkoo Sidhu, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am currently licensed in Indiana, California, Texas, Wyoming, and Colorado. I practice using a patient-centered, evidence-based approach to psychiatry, helping clients with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and related mental health concerns. My goal is to work collaboratively with you, listening first so we can build a treatment path that fits your life and brings you closer to stability and wellbeing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get a clear picture of what brought you in and what you’d like to work on. I’ll ask about your background, experiences, current challenges, and any past treatments or medications. We’ll also talk about your goals, preferences, and what feels most important to you right now. Together, we’ll explore treatment options that may include therapy, medication, or a combination, always keeping your needs at the center. Before we wrap up, we’ll outline a preliminary plan and decide on next steps, such as follow-up visits or additional support. My goal is to make this first meeting feel safe and supportive—no judgment, just space for you to be heard and to leave with a sense of clarity and direction.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

A therapeutic approach is always used to treat patients along with the least invasive approach possible. Some patients may need to be on medications at times or need to be referred out. These options will be discussed with each client during either the initial visit or a subsequent visit.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I pride myself on a collaborative, solution-focused approach that blends evidence-based treatment with genuine empathy. Over the last decade, I've helped adults with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and schizophrenia using strategies tailored to their unique needs. I specialize in medication management and often work alongside therapists to provide a comprehensive care plan. Patients often note my warm bedside manner, strong listening skills, and direct communication—qualities that help build trust and accelerate healing. I’m deeply committed to finding the right balance of therapy and medication, using tools like MindMetrix assessments and gene-guided psychotropic testing for more personalized care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are seeking support for depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and schizophrenia, as well as those who may be struggling with other mental health challenges that affect their daily functioning, relationships, and overall quality of life. My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated to take an active role in their mental health journey, are open to exploring evidence-based approaches, and value a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I aim to work with clients who are ready to reflect on their experiences, understand their patterns, and develop practical strategies for managing symptoms, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing overall well-being. Whether you’re looking to better cope with stress, navigate life transitions, address persistent mood or anxiety symptoms, or simply find greater balance in your daily life, I provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where your voice is central to the process. My approach is patient-centered and individualized, meaning that every treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs, goals, and preferences. I focus on building trust and fostering open communication, so you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and collaborating on solutions that truly fit your life. Together, we can explore different treatment options, including psychotherapy, medication management, and other evidence-based strategies, always with the goal of helping you achieve meaningful progress. Ultimately, my ideal clients are those who are ready to invest in themselves, explore their inner experiences, and take steps toward lasting change. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, validated, and empowered, so you can leave each session with clarity, tools to apply in daily life, and a sense of hope and direction for the future. By fostering a partnership grounded in trust, collaboration, and evidence-based practice, I work alongside my clients to help them navigate challenges, achieve goals, and experience meaningful growth in their mental health journey.
