My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have over 10 years experience utilizing CBT therapy. In our time together we will explore how your thoughts effect the way you feel and act and if they are especially helpful or accurate. We will work together to find more useful ways of thinking that feel authentic to your experience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have completed intensive training in DBT. These skills help individuals get off the roller-coaster of emotions, reclaim control over their lives, and navigate difficult social situations.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness skills to help you learn understand how your body responds to different emotional states and to help calm distress. We will also explore on focusing your mind on what is happening currently, rather than worrying about what could go wrong in the future or what has happened in the past.

Motivational Interviewing

Through motivational interviewing we will explore your goals while building on your personal motivation and strengths.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, an approach that centers on building skills to help an individual learn the skills to calm their body, explore unhelpful thinking patterns, and process trauma.
