What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will start with brief introductions, then we will engage in dialogue about specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with various populations for over ten years, I have developed a diverse rapport with those I have encountered from various backgrounds, cultures, beliefs and able to help you identify the root cause, patterns, cycles of your challenges that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

By utilizing this approach, I am able to assist you in creating a treatment plan that meets you where you are currently. This approach gives me the flexibility to use a different approach to stretch you towards meeting your goals rather than having one modality. It also accommodates your awareness of your progression as it takes place by switching between multiple approaches as necessary to help with the healing process.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use this approach to bring awareness to what is sometimes difficult, but is necessary for healing, which is acceptance of thoughts and feelings without judgment. You will be challenged to self-introspect gain self-awareness of your actions yielding the same negative outcome and take action to adhere to newly gained insight.

Adlerian

I use this approach to assist individuals with sharing their perspective of how they connect with others. Encourage self-introspection to address areas of inferiority that hinders the goals they are seeking and their purpose as part of living socially connected lives.

Christian Counseling

I utilize this approach for those seeking to integrate their faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process. Providing an open forum for individuals to explore their mental well-being and identifying religious or spiritual values to help guide life decisions and choices.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this approach when I am helping and individual with substance abuse, co-occurring mental health disorders and other mental health conditions. I have been effective with helping individuals recognize what behavioral changes are needed by assisting them with gaining awareness of how their thought process affects their outcomes. This is done by helping you identify how your perspective can yield positive or negative behavior. You will be challenged to reframe from negative thinking to embrace positive thinking. This approach involves several techniques aimed to help you with unlearning unhealthy thoughts and behaviors. I have found that individuals have normalized certain behaviors that continue to yield the same unwanted behavior until they have been made aware of what thoughts or behavior affects their relationships.
