Hi! Welcome to therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD and I earned my Masters from Shorter University in Rome, Ga. and my Doctorate online from Argosy University. I started in 1986 and I have held many roles and worked in many settings i.e., inpatient psych programs, outpatient psych programs, ER settings, etc.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with introductions then dive into the topic or issue that led you to seek help. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow up sessions

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are listening, repeating back to the client what I have heard them to say and drawing connections to the past and present. I am creative, witty and passionate which shows up in my sessions as fun and educational.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT and psychoanalysis is the preferred treatment method of treatment. CBT works best with assignments for you to work on at home and videos for you to watch and take notes. Psychoanalysis allows me, the therapist to talk with you about your childhood of origin and family patterns.
